Joplin Globe decision forces Galena Sentinel-Times to print in Branson

The Joplin Globe's recent decision to shut down its printing press and print the paper in Tulsa, has had a domino effect on smaller newspapers that were printed in Joplin.

Instead of heading up the road a couple of miles, the Galena Kansas Sentinel-Times will be printed in Branson, the newspaper announced Thursday.

The newspaper will be published a day later each week.

Sounds like the beginning of the end for The Globe. I've seen this timeline play out and it's not likely to have a positive outcome.
