Manhunt for suspected killer ongoing in Seneca; residents urged to stay inside, lock doors,windows

(UPDATE: Burleson is in custody.)

Area law enforcement is conducting a manhunt for suspected killer Scott Burleson north of Seneca around Kentucky Road and Stateline Road, according to a news release issued at about 3 p.m. by the Newton County Sheriff's Office.

If you live in this area, stay inside. Lock all doors and windows. If you see a male walking on foot in this area, call 911.








Burleson, 30, Seneca, is charged with second degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of armed criminal action in connection with the March 3 stabbing death of Seth R. Langford, 36, Carl Junction.

A witness told the Jasper County Sheriff's Office that Burleson stabbed Langford three times.at South State Line Avenue, according to the probable cause statement. Langford was taken to Freeman West Hospital where he died.

For all of you out there - still questioning why individuals need to have Legal and Registered Guns - This is WHY!!! For Your Protection - The Criminals have them, so why wouldn't you want to Protect Yourself, Your Family???

Burleson is a cockroach... I'm glad he's behind bars, hopefully for the rest of his life.
