Walter Carl Ritter, 59, Joplin, pleaded guilty this morning in U. S. District Court in Springfield to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Judge David P. Rush ordered a presentence investigation. No date has been scheduled for the sentencing.
Ritter was in possession of a firearm on September 17, 2024, according to the indictment.
