Goodman man charged with assaulting wife after she interrupted sex act with another woman

A Goodman man is being held without bond in the McDonald County Detention Center after he allegedly assaulted his wife after she caught him receiving oral sex from another woman and taking photos of the act the act.

The McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Matthew Wayne Rash with second-degree domestic assault.

From the probable cause statement:

Upon arrival, I made contact with the reporting party, {who} stated that she had caught her husband, Matthew Rash, in a truck with another female. She advised that the female was performing oral sex on Matthew and that the two were also taking explicit photos together. 

{She} said that upon confronting Matthew, an argument ensued. When she attempted to take his phone from him, she stated that Matthew punched her in the left eye with a closed fist. {She} stated that she waited until Matthew went outside to fix the television before she left the residence to call law enforcement. 

While canvassing the area, I located a male subject walking down the road leading toward {location redacted). I made contact and identified him as Matthew Rash. 

Matthew claimed he was just out for a walk and denied any physical altercation, stating that his wife was home in bed and that everything was fine. When I made contact with {her}, she came out of the tree line by the campground and very shook up from what had just happened. There was visible swelling and redness to her eye at this time. ·

{She} expressed her intent to pursue charges and completed a formal written statement.

The case was investigated by the Pineville Police Department.
