T'ante Jamal Paul, 19, was already being held in the Jasper County Detention Center on a first-degree assault charge when the new charge was filed. His bond for the rape charge is set at $250,000 cash only, the same as his bond for the assault charge.
On 04-02-2025 a forensic interview was conducted with VICTIM 1, at the Children’s Center located in Joplin. During the forensic interview, VICTIM 1 disclosed the following:
- VICTIM 1 disclosed she had met T’Ante Paul and she calls him “TJ” last summer. - VICTIM 1 disclosed on Thursday, (later indicated to be March 13th by her mother), T’Ante picked her up from School where he took her home, then went out to various places.
- VICTIM 1 disclosed T’Ante then drove past her road to where her house is and drove to a Church on Fir Road and parked in the Church’s parking lot where they both moved to the backseat.
- VICTIM 1 disclosed T’Ante then put his hand on her thigh, and she grabbed his hand and told him, “No”.
The next few paragraphs of the probable cause statemetn described the alleged rape, noting that the girl tried several times to "get him off me," before "giving up."
VICTIM 1 disclosed on the drive home, T’Ante told her, “Don’t you dare tell anyone about this."
The assault charge against Paul stemmed from a July 20 incident at Schifferdecker Park with the allegation detailed in the probable cause statement.
Victim 1, who is a juvenile (17 years old), states that he was at this above listed location for a party after midnight on 07/20/2025. Victim 1 states that T'Ante Paul (19 years old) was upset with him because he had recorded some of Paul's previous fights that he had been involved in.While at the above listed location, victim 1 states that he was advised that Paul wanted to fight him. Victim 1 says that a female started chasing him and then he realized that Paul was chasing him.
While Paul was chasing victim 1, he told victim 1 to stop or he was going to swing on him. Victim 1 states that he stopped and when he turned around and a female swung at him. Victim 1 then states that Paul picked him up and slammed him on the ground, proceeding to kick and hit him to the point he went unconscious.
Victim 1 stated that he knew Paul from previous encounters and picked him out of a photo lineup with more than 100% certainty. Video footage was provided of the incident.
In the video I observed victim 1 being picked up by Paul and being slammed to the ground forcefully. There were three other females with Paul at the time, two of which were assisting with hitting and kicking victim 1 while he was on the ground.
From the video Paul was kicking and hitting victim 1 on his head and upper body. At one point Paul was standing over victim 1 stomping on his head multiple times to the point where from the video footage it appeared that victim 1 was unconscious as he wasn't moving.
Paul then walked around victim 1's head and kicked victim 1's head so hard that I could hear the impact from the video and victim 1's upper body shifted from the impact. Victim 1 had bruising to his right eye from a photograph I observed taken the same morning the assault occurred according to victim 1.
The assault case was investigated by the Joplin Police Department.
In 2024, The Joplin Police Department arrested Paul on an out-of-state fugitive charge stemming from multiple Cherokee County, Kansas charges, including endangering a child, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and property damage.
Cherokee County District Court records indicate Paul was given a suspended sentence.

This is a good kid y’all see exactly why those sentences were suspended bc he didn’t do it they’re lying on him to make his image bad god will make sure this young man is well taken care of these are just all just false allegations towards him !!

Yeah, sure, what a good kid. Video of him brutally assaulting/stomping on head of a juvenile. And then raping another juvenile! One hundred percent he is the worst of the worst and needs to be put under the jail.
Sexual attraction is a very powerful thing. But men, not animals are able to control their sexual actions. This guy very obviously was not able to control his actions. And that makes him a rapist criminal! There are no two ways around that. Anyone attempting to defend this criminal and his behavior is as guilty as he is! It’s past time he goes up the creek for a very long while!!!
Mr. Turner, the first sentence needs to be edited. He didn’t rape a woman. He raped a child.
