An 18-year-old Joplin man faces a third-degree assault charge in connection with a shooting that took place July 29 at 411 N. Sergeant Avenue in Joplin.
The allegations against Sullivan-Neely were detailed in the report.
On July 29th, 2025, officers with the Joplin Police Department responded to 411 N. Sergeant Avenue for a gunshots call.
Upon arrival, an adult female was contacted in front of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound to her leg.
The initial investigation revealed that Landon Sullivan-Neely and four juveniles were inside the residence when another juvenile broke into the residence. The parties involved indicated the suspect juvenile was located in a juvenile female's bedroom and partially dressed.
The juvenile suspect was confronted and a physical altercation ensued. As the suspect was leaving, Mr. Sullivan-Neely and four juveniles called for police assistance and their mother, Amanda Massey.
As the investigation developed, the involved juveniles indicated that the suspect juvenile (hereafter referred to as victim juvenile) was invitted to 411 N. Sergeant Avenue to talk about an incident that occurred a few days prior.
After the victim juvenile eventually did not want to participate in the event, but was prevented from leaving by being pushed away from the door, pushed into walls or being held with his arms behind his back or on the ground while Mr. Sullivan-Neely or the other juveniles punched
At that point, the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office apparently neglected to include the remainder of the probable cause statement and cut it off mid-sentence. The complaint indicates Sullivan-Neely's charge was in connection with the assault on the juvenile victim.

And our useless Prosecuting Attorney strikes again.
Where's the PPPP when we need it?
That is not the correct information you should ask the supposed victim what his father does for a living it is a cover-up it is a lie and every single one of you should be sued for sland and definition of character
iT'S THE POLICE REPORT.
so SUE THEM?
hELL, JUST SUE EVERYBODY!
Did she accidentally shoot herself in the leg?
DEFINITION of character! HA HA HA!
I mean why would you even assume something like that. If she shot herself self why didn't they find a bullet casing.
