That's why I wholeheartedly support the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
This landmark legislation delivers on the promises we've made to the American people: robust border security, sensible immigration reforms, and a return to law and order at our southern border.
At its core, the One Big Beautiful Bill tackles the border crisis head-on with unprecedented investments and enforcement measures. It allocates $10 billion to the Department of Homeland Security for border security initiatives, including the construction and maintenance of a state-of-the-art border wall system—the very wall President Trump championed and expanded during his first term. Another $10 billion establishes the State Border Security Reinforcement Fund, empowering states like Texas and Arizona to build additional fencing, combat drug and human trafficking, and interdict illegal aliens. The bill boosts U.S. Customs and Border Protection by funding more agents, vehicles, facilities, and advanced screening technologies to detect threats before they cross our borders.
Immigration provisions in the bill are equally transformative. It introduces fair fees for asylum applications, employment authorizations, and other processes, ensuring that American taxpayers aren't footing the bill for endless abuse of our system. Reforms to asylum authority close loopholes that have allowed frivolous claims to overwhelm our courts. The legislation also enhances vetting for visas and sponsors of unaccompanied minors, prioritizing merit and security over open borders. Up to $3.5 billion is provided to supports state and local efforts to apprehend and prosecute criminal aliens, finally holding lawbreakers accountable.
None of this would be possible without President Trump's historic leadership on border security. During his first term, he built over 400 miles of wall and reduced illegal crossings by 87%, proving that strong policies work.
In his second term, the results are even more staggering:
Just 100 days in, southwest border encounters plummeted 95% from the previous year, with March 2025 recording a historic low of only 7,181 apprehensions. Catch-and-release dropped 99.99% from Biden-era highs, delivering the most secure border in American history. President Trump didn't just talk about it—he did it, reversing the chaos of open borders that invited cartels, fentanyl, and human misery.
