Mount Vernon McDonald's sued after customer trips over speed bump

A woman is suing the Mount Vernon McDonald's after she tripped over a speed bump and injured himself.

According to the petition, which was filed today in Lawrence County Circuit Court, Audrey Hill (no address provided in court records) was walking across the parking lot when she tripped over a speed bump "that was in black in color and raised where it was not visible."

The conditions in the parking lot were not "reasonably safe," according to the petition and the owners, DAB Management, should have known of the "dangerous conditions."

Hill, who is represented by attorney Brandon Carl Potter, of Aaron Sachs and Associates, Springfield, is asking for a "fair and reasonable" judgment.

Again, another Lawyer and Client chasing the money train. Businesses have to protect themselves over these bottom feeders everyday - because in America - anything that Idiot Customers do - can never be there own fault - I spilled hot coffee on myself - Business's Fault, I slipped walking, because I weigh 350 lbs. and cannot walk, Business's Fault, Etc., Etc., - No One takes Responsibility for themselves - When are we going to start throwing out cases where it is truly the fault of Customers / Patrons - and bring in Common Sense to our Legal System - All of these Law Suits only drive up Insurance Rates for Businesses, which keep driving up Consumer Prices - because the United States has the largest number of lawyers overall in the World - Want to Reduce Liability Costs and Consumer Costs - Put Laws into effect - "Common Sense Laws", that Protect Businesses from these continual Stupid Lawsuits, because No One takes responsibility for themselves anymore - JUST SUE EM -

Can we just put signs up when you enter the parking lots and stores telling all customers that if you enter the parking lot, park, walk in the parking lot or enter the store you do it at your own risk and that the stores are not responsibility for any accidents or mishaps - you do all of this at your own risk -

This adds to the cost of everything, it’s a wonder they didn’t try and sue the asphalt company also.
It’s a shame nobody can hold their self accountable
Wonder what would happen if someone had a slip and fall on Aaron Sachs office…
Let him reap what he has sown…
