Black: Koster decision on gay marriage issue cleared my mind about party switch

State representative Linda Black, now a Bonne Terre Republican, told Facebook friends that Attorney General Chris Koster's decision not to fight judicial decisions allowing gay marriage prompted her to switch to the Republican Party only hours after she was elected as a Democrat.

"I am loyal to my convictions and you do not know what lead to this decision because you have chosen to post rather than call," Black said to one constituent who posted on the Facebook page.

"This decision became more clear with the recent decision by our atty general to not defend our Missouri Constitution."

Ironically, Koster was elected to the legislature as a Republican, then switched to the Democratic Party to run for attorney general.

Would love some politicians to learn how to spell, as well. Lead is a metal. Led is the past tense of when you lead a group or where one thing leads to another.

This should make her election null and void immediately.

This is a great concept. Hey, from now on we can run all our Democratic Candidates as Republicans and immediately switch parties when elected. Talk about a great sandbagging technique, this is it.

Yeah, that's why you switched.
