C. J. Huff headed to Saskatchewan tomorrow

For the second time in two months, Joplin R-8 Superintendent C. J. Huff will take his "We will have school" tour across the border to Canada when he delivers the keynote address at the 2014 Joint Conference of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association, the Saskatchewan Association of School Business Officials, and the League of Educational Administrators, Directors, and Superintendents of Saskatchewan 12 noon tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Saskatoon TCU Place.

Huff's first Canadian speech was given Friday, October 10 when he was the keynote speaker at a professional development meeting for the Elk Island Public School District in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.

The Saskatchewan speech comes less than two weeks after Huff delivered the keynote address at the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas conference held at the Irving, Texas, Convention Center.

The speech will also mark at least 14 weekdays in which Huff has been away from the Joplin R-8 School District while either making speeches telling of his heroism following the May 22, 2011, Joplin Tornado or promoting Bright Futures USA, a not-for-profit which allegedly has no connection whatsoever with Bright Futures Joplin.

WELL THIS DEFINITELY EXPLAINS WHY HE WASN'T AT WORK TODAY, TAKING CARE OF OUR KIDS HERE IN JOPLIN, MISSOURI.....OR HE WAS HAVING TO MUCH FUN AT HOME BUILDING A SNOWMAN. ⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄

I have a problem. I was taking my child to school at East Middle School this morning & as soon as you turned on the drive way entrance it is covered with ice. The whole thing, from where the buses go at the front and the car riders in the back. It was clearly obvious that nothing had been done since the snow stopped early yesterday afternoon to prepare the roads & parking lot on the school grounds for safe arrival this morning.
I personally don't mind the extra taxes & money spent on all the new schools BUT for crying out loud at least spend a few more hundred dollars and pay for snow removal!!!
I was so upset with lack of care or concern I called the administration office and asked to speak to Dr. CJ Huff and guess what the receptionist tells me...he didn't show up today but that she would be more than happy to transfer me to his secretary. Needless to say I hung up! What good would it be to leave a message with her! ? So my message could sit on a desk for a day. No thanks! At least if you're not going to be there at your job where your responsible for our children at least have competent people in place & things being taken care of! !

The high school lot for which we paid the privilege of parking for our children was cleared, but glazed over. And, they tell me that once they got to the sidewalk they walked in the snow. The sidewalks were not cleared at all. I wonder if CJ and his posse had to slide across a huge parking lot and then walk in snow to get to the door? Since most of the building is still cold, my kids sat with cold feet in cold rooms.

My tax dollars at work.

Maybe he'll get stuck in a blizzard and not make it back for months and months. It'll be business as usual back at the ranch, but at least it would be a start to being CJ free.
