New outlets for Small Town News
Small Town News is now available at Pat's Books and Crafts, 1250 South Garrison, Carthage, and at the Sarcoxie Record office.
Pat's Books is owned and operated by Patsy Kisling. Helping her mother manage the store is my East Newton High School classmate Robyn Thompson (formerly Trowbridge). For more information, call 417-358-1940 or e-mail pakis@4state.com.
As of Thursday, the novel is also available at the Sarcoxie Record office on the square.
I will admit I have not exactly been beating the bushes for new retail outlets for the book, though I hope to add a few more before classes resume in the Joplin R-8 School District next month. For the most part, the books have been sold at signings and via the internet, as well as at the handful of stores at which it is stocked.
Locally, the book can be purchased at the following sites:
Joplin- Hastings and Changing Hands Book Shop
Neosho- Books & Java
Carthage- Pat's Books & Crafts, The Carthage Press
Sarcoxie- Sarcoxie Record
It is available online at numerous sites, including Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, and at the website of the publisher, IUniverse. Links to those sites are featured at the book's website.
