WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED... LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK. DISCUSSION... SHOWERS AND ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE STORMS WILL FORM OVER KANSAS AND MOVE EAST ACROSS THE OZARKS. THE STRONGEST STORMS MAY PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL AND WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY. THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL LINGER WEDNESDAY MAINLY FROM CENTRAL MISSOURI INTO THE EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS. AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH THE MID AND UPPER 90S WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
