Ad posted for faculty positions for new Joplin medical school

It is still more than a year from opening, but the hiring process has started for the new Joplin medical school.

Covenant Healthcare has partnered with Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU) in Joplin, MO.

We are looking to add talented individuals for both faculty and staff at our new campus. Joplin is located in southwest Missouri, and serves as a hub for the four state region of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas. The resident population is just over 50,000 people, but that expands daily to over 250,000 as people from nearby communities come to Joplin. Joplin has the qualities and the feel of a small town, with amenities such as a vibrant downtown area, convenient public transportation, parks with walking and bike trails as well retail, dining and a culture for the arts and entertainment.

Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences has an opening for a faculty members in several specialities. These positions fulfill duties to further the mission of the department, college and University by participating in student education, scholarly activities, and University service. Additionally, these positions will take a lead role as the liaison between the main campus and the Joplin campus for the area of specialty, in order that course content is distributed to appropriate faculty ensuring consistent content and delivery.
