Toni Valliere returns home

Former KSN 6 and 10 p.m. anchor Toni Valliere is returning to her home state of California to become a morning anchor at KCRA in Sacramento.

Valliere has been working as a weekend anchor and reporter at WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, since she left KSN in August 2013.

Valliere joined KSN as a reporter and weekend weathercaster in 2004.

Valliere first registered with the Joplin area during her time as co-host of the morning Hometown Today show, then joined Jim Jackson on the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts in March 2008.

The former KSN anchor is excited about starting her new job, according to an article in Ad Week.

"I'm beyond thrilled to be joining KCRA, a highly respected news station known for excellence in storytelling,” said Valliere. “To be able to work on a morning show, for a company I love, and in my home state, is a dream come true.”

On Monday, she’ll join Deirdre Fitzpatrick and Teo Torres from 4:30 to 7 a.m. on KCRA and from 7 to 9 a.m. on KQCA.

I thought Toni was a great reporter for our local market. Why wouldn't you want to return home if you could and if I had my choice between Milwaukee and Sacramento it would be a no-brainer. Milwaukee is nice in the fall hot and humid in the summer and has cold miserable lake conditioned winters.
