The accompanying KSN report features Cat Johnson in his prime as he was leading Joplin Memorial High School to two straight state championships with only one loss during those two seasons, plus a phone interview with that team's coach Mike O'Rourke.
"He kept them hungry and he kept them confident," O'Rourke said.
Joplin historian Brad Belk calls Cat Johnson "a hero for the Joplin community."
