Dermott re-elected Joplin R-8 Board of Education president

Sharrock Dermott was elected without opposition to a second consecutive term as Joplin R-8 Board of Education president Tuesday night.

Brent Jordan was elected vice president, also without opposition.







Dermott and Michael Joseph were sworn in following canvassing of the April 2 election results.

Dermott was elected to his second three-year term while Joseph is serving his first term after defeating four-year veteran Jennifer Martucci.
