COVID-19 cases rapidly increasing in Jasper County- 70 cases, Carthage area hit hard

With just four days to go before Missouri is fully open, Jasper County COVID-19 cases are rapidly increasing.

The county's total is up to 70 confirmed cases, according to a news release issued this afternoon by the Jasper County Health Department. Of those cases, 40 have been recorded in the past six days and 30 in the past four days.

One-hundred twenty-nine people are under quarantine, according to the report.







"As we continue to take steps to reopen our community, it is even more important for all of us to interact with our environment carefully," the news release said.

"If someone is sick or thinks they may be sick, they should stay home."
