The number of COVID-19 cases in Jasper County continues to grow rapidly over the weekend and is now up to 130, according to a news release issued earlier today by the Jasper County Health Department.
Thirty-nine of the cases have been recorded in the last two days.
"We are seeing a rise in hospitalizations as well as cases in children as young as four weeks old," the news release said.
"The majority of these cases appear to be clustered around the Carthage area, but we do continue to see cases in other areas of the county as well."
Of the 130 cases, 86 are in isolation and 467 people are under quarantine, an increase of 228 in the past two days.
