Fired Missouri Southern State University football coach Jeff Sims said he was not told why he was fired.
KOAM reports Sims said, "You could see the vision for the university and maybe my vision weren't on the same page. When there's new leadership, they have the right to pick their own team and move in their direction."
Sims said he was not given a reason for his firing, but that he had been treated fairly by MSSU President Dean Van Galen.
During Sims' sole season as MSSU coach, the Lions posted a 2-9 record.
On his Twitter feed today, Sims addressed the firing.
GOD has a plan and it always better then mine! Love the Coaches, Love the Players; Great Days ahead!

I wonder if Braeden Bradforth had something to do with it?
Nope, not a damn thing to do with it. Keep guessing.
Can’t believe he was hired in the first place. Examination of MSSU athletics (other than men’s basketball, track, and baseball) tells me that the AD should be next.
It was a factor. Sims was tainted.
