Costa Bajjali's advice- Stay away from narcissists; they are terrible business partners

Former Joplin master developer Costa Bajjali, a one-time partner in Wallace Bajjali apparently doesn't hold a high opinion of former partner David Wallace.

In a profile published December 10 on internet magazine Thrive Global, Bajjali shared what he considers to be the biggest life lesson he has learned:

Stay away from narcissists, they are terrible business partners! No matter what you do for them or the overall partnership, you are not good enough and they take credit for every success and blame you for every failure. Go with your gut instinct and experience when making decisions.

Bajjali does not say whether he is referring to David Wallace.

Bajjali appears to have recovered from his highly unsuccessful business effort, serving with Wallace as the City of Joplin's master developer following the May 22, 2011 Joplin Tornado. He is president and co-founder of IDM Partners and IDM Realty Group LLC, according to the article. The company handles real estate development and business consulting.

Very poor journalism on the part of the article's author. Not one mention of the Joplin, Amarillo and Waco controversies. Delve into a subject's background. This author didn't, or did and ignored what he found, or was told to steer clear of it. This guy has a future with the Globe.

Look at the disclaimer on the article and you'll understand the omission--it's not really any kind of a news organization, they print "community" pieces. I wouldn't be surprised if Bajjali paid him to write it.
