Joplin High School offensive coordinator named head coach at Neosho

(From the Neosho School District)

Neosho School District is pleased to welcome Brandon Taute to the NSD Team as the new head coach of the Neosho Wildcats Football Team.

Coach Taute comes to us from Joplin High School in Joplin, Missouri. He served as offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the Eagles for five years, as well as the head track and field coach for four years.

Prior to that, Taute was the wide receivers coach, JV offensive coordinator, and horizontal jumps coach at Holt High School in Wentzville, Missouri.

Taute earned his bachelor of science degree in natural science education from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2009, and will be teaching physical education and conditioning at Neosho High School.

Superintendent Dr. Jim Cummins is looking forward to Coach Taute joining the NSD Team. “We are excited to have Brandon join our team. If you follow Southwest Missouri football, you know he has been very successful in his coaching career.”

“I am extremely excited for the opportunity. This is a community that obviously cares about kids and we couldn’t be more proud to join Wildcat Nation,” said Taute. He will begin his duties for the Wildcats beginning in June 2021.
