Joplin Health Department reports four COVID-19 deaths, 55 new cases


The Joplin Health Department reported four deaths due to COVID-19 today, bringing the city's total to 86.

The victims were two men, ages 75 and 82 and two women, ages 95 and 96.

All but the 75-year-old man were residents of long-term care facilities.







The Health Department confirmed 55 cases in 24 hours, according to statistics posted on the city's COVID-19 dashboard Thursday night. The total to date is 4,240.

Joplin hospitals have 76 COVID-19 patients, including 21 city residents.
