Newton County reports four COVID-19 deaths, 32 new cases


The Newton County Health Department reported four COVID-19 deaths, recorded over the past two days, according to a news release.

The victims are two women in their 80s and two men, one in his 70s and one in his 60s. The deaths bring the county's total to 61.







The department reported 32 cases in 24 hours in a post on its Facebook page Wednesday night, putting the total at 3,585, including 357 cases currently in isolation.

Twenty-five people are hospitalized.

The statistics do not include the portion of Newton County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
