Joplin Health Department reports two COVID-19 deaths, 44 new cases


The Joplin Health Department reported two COVID-19 deaths today.

The victims were a 62-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman. The woman was a resident of a long term care facility. The city has recorded 82 deaths due to COVID-19.

Forty-four new cases were confirmed today, bringing the total to 4,184, including 279 active cases. The city's hospitals have 76 coronavirus patients, including 20 Joplin residents.
