Joplin Health Department reports four COVID-19 deaths


The Joplin Health Department reported four COVID-19 deaths today bringing the city's total to 76.

The victims were three men, ages 81, 82 and 85, and a 62-year-old woman.

The woman and the 81-year-old man were residents of a long-term care facility.

Only five coronavirus cases were reported today and the number of COVID-19 patients in the city's hospitals is down to 84, including 16 Joplin residents.

Joplin has recorded 4,079 cases.
