(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)As of May 23, 2024 additional charges have been filed against Michael D. Roland from a separate victim. Then new charges are as follows: Rape 1st (4 counts), Sodomy 1st (2 counts), Kidnapping 1st (1 count) and Domestic Assault 2nd (1 count) There is NO BOND for the new charges.

Roland was also a suspect in two separate and unrelated investigations of sexual assault that have occurred recently.
Roland was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center and charges have been submitted to the prosecutor for Sodomy 1st degree, Kidnapping 1st degree, and assault 3rd degree.
The investigation involving Roland is still ongoing and may produce additional charges.
