(From the Joplin Police Department)Today marks the two-year anniversary of the murder of Kenneth Jay Mathews.
At 6:06 PM on May 16, 2022, Mr. Matthews was shot multiple times as he and a friend were walking in the 400 block of South Connor Avenue. He was a father, brother, and uncle, and had many friends who considered him family.
Over the past year, Investigators have followed up on more than 60 leads in an attempt to identify and charge the suspect(s) in this case.
