The resignation list that will be submitted to the Neosho R-5 Board of Education when it meets 6 p.m. Monday includes former South Elementary School counselor Jacob Oakes, who faces a statutory rape charge in Newton County Circuit Court.
The board packet for the meeting indicates Oakes resigned April 18, eight days after the charges were filed. At the time of his resignation, Oakes had been on administrative leave.
