Mark Alford: President Trump is taking bold action to make government work better for the American people

(From Fourth District Congressman Mark Alford)

Washington has been busy, but rest assured—we’re working every day to ensure Missouri’s values and priorities are front and center. From supporting our farmers to strengthening national security, we are making real progress in putting America First.

This week, we worked with Congressman Jim Costa on a resolution designating March 18, 2025, as National Agriculture Day. Our farmers and ranchers are the backbone of Missouri, and they deserve recognition for their hard work feeding, clothing, and fueling this country. Agriculture isn’t just an industry—it’s a way of life, and I’ll always fight to protect it.

Meanwhile, President Trump is taking bold action to make government work better for the American people. Through new executive orders, we’re cutting down on Washington’s red tape, shifting power back to states and local communities, and making government leaner and more accountable. One order moves disaster preparedness from FEMA to local governments, ensuring that the people who know their communities best are leading the response. Another focuses on eliminating wasteful government programs, reinforcing the idea that the federal government should serve the people—not the other way around. Trump also signed an Executive Order to dismantle the Department of Education–a step toward school choice, accountability, and putting students first.

And when it comes to national security, America is leading from a position of strength. This past week, U.S. forces took out key ISIS and Houthi leaders, showing once again that America will not tolerate threats to our safety. Under our Commander in Chief’s leadership, we are holding our enemies accountable and making sure America remains dominant on the world stage.

There’s a lot happening in Washington, but one thing remains constant—we will always fight for Missouri’s values and work to ensure our nation remains strong, free, and prosperous. God bless you, and God bless America.

Cheney and kinzinger will be remembered as republican heros in American history. Any bets when we'll ever see a profile in courage such as them from the republican party?....no need to ever count on this flake.
