Washburn man charged after allegedly choking woman in front of the children


The McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney filed a second-degree domestic assault charge today against a Washburn man who allegedly choked his wife in front of the woman's daughter.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Raul Gonzales Ibarra, 25, with Judge John LePage setting bond at $1,500 cash only.

Victim 1 stated Gonzalez Ibarra and {she} got into a verbal altercation that turned physical. Victim I stated {Gonzalez Ibarra} grabbed her and pulled her to the ground and held her there by the neck asking if she wanted to die.







Victim 1 stated her children saw everything and started screaming. {She} stated she begged {him} to stop {because} he was scaring the girl.

{She} stated she was able to get up and was holding her daughter and Suspect 1 grabbed Victim 1 by the throat with her daughter in her hands.

Victim 1 stated her daughter was screaming and smacking {him} and yelling, "Don't kill my mom. I hate you."

Victim 1 stated {he} let go and she was able to get away.

Gonzalez-Ibarra is being held without bond for ICE in the Greene County Jail.
