Miguel Angel Alvarado Maruffo, 30, is being held in the Greene County Jail on an ICE detainer charged with unlawful entry into the United States following a traffic stop March 9 by the Carthage Police Department. Maruffo was charged with driving while revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Carthage Police Department turned Maruffo over to ICE three days later, according to a probable cause affidavit filed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
Maruffo was deported to his home country, Mexico, August 26, 2018 and never applied for admission, according to the affidavit.
