A U. S. District Court judge ordered Miguel Angel Alvarado Maruffo, 30, Carthage, held without bond following a detention hearing this morning in Springfield.
Maruffo is being held in the Greene County Jail charged with unlawful entry into the United States following a March 9 traffic stop by the Carthage Police Department. He was cited for driving while revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Maruffo was deported to his home country, Mexico, August 26, 2018 and never applied for admission, according to the probable cause affidavit.
