Scott rakes in $17,000 plus


Sen. Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City, reported $17,315 in his second quarter disclosure report filed Monday with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Scott, the chairman of the Senate Financial, Governmental Organizations, and Elections Committee, received his biggest contribution, $2,500 from the Missouri Independent Bankers PAC, and picked up a total of $4,420 from 13 banking industry donors, according to the documents.
Scott, who had $1,080.50 at the beginning of the reporting period, spent $13,373.80, leaving him with $5,021.70 in his account. His biggest expenditures were from a golf tournament at the Shadow Lake Golf Course in Wheatland, the report said. He spent $2,955 on greens fee and golf carts, $1,490 on food and prizes, $335.64 for tournament supplies, $628 for hats and visors, and $151.99 for tournament drinks.
