Governor Matt Blunt announced the appointment of former assistant attorney general Michael Kilgore to the Missouri Ethics Commission today.
Kilgore, a 5th District Democrat, contributed $1,200 to State Auditor Claire McCaskill, Blunt's opponent in the 2004 gubernatorial race, according to Ethics Commission documents. He is an associate trial lawyer in the offices of Tim Dollar in Kansas City, according to the news release.
Including Kilgore's contribution, the Dollar firm contributed at least $4,300 to Ms. McCaskill in 2004.
