Enron founder Kenneth Lay dead

Former Enron CEO and chairman Kenneth Lay died today after suffering a heart attack July 4 in Aspen, according to published sources.
Lay was recently convicted of fraud charges and was scheduled to go to prison in October.
Any Joplin area news outlet wanting to localize the story might contact former State Representative Roy Cagle, who served as Enron's lobbyist in Missouri in 2001. Missouri Ethics Commission records show the company only spent $302.20 wining and dining our state legislature. Of course, that was about the time Enron's collapse began.
More information can be found in a post from the May 25 Turner Report.
