Nodler to make "official" announcement of committee appointment

Why this should be a story two weeks after the fact I have no idea, but Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, has called a news conference for Friday at the Joplin Regional Airport, according to KSPR's website.

I suppose this will give our local television stations the opportunity to cover the story for the first time and give the Joplin Globe a chance to get it right.

The story was given its proper due to several smaller Joplin-area newspapers, including The Carthage Press, Neosho Daily News, and Newton County News, but it was virtually ignored by the Joplin media, despite its possible important to this area.

Nodler didn't call the news conference. Senate President Pro-Tem Mike Gibbons did. Given your past refusal to correct this kind of miss-reporting, I don't expect you to correct this either.

Frankly, I don't care who called the news conference and it doesn't make any difference to anyone who is reading this blog either. The whole point of the post, which you have apparently missed, is that the news of Nodler's new post has not been reported sufficiently by the Joplin Globe. I would think, considering your constant pro-Nodler nonsense, that you would agree with that idea.

I do agree with your comment about the Globe, but you said "Gary Nodler has called a news conference", he did not. I don't know why when you put up something that is wrong you choose to keep it up even after you know its wrong. You never get the point that you don't correct your errors. You may think that the error is not important and it may not be but it will lead readers to believe something that is not true and to wrongly infer from it. Why not just correct your post instead of argueing with me? Why not address my post and make the correction? You are the provider of nonsense, not me and this reaction proves it.

Anonymous has (AGAIN)overly reacted. Randy is right that the point of the blog was not who called a news conference. Really and truly we are all tired of your tirades against Randy. It is his blog, he can put whatever he wants on it. Get your own blog and call it the "I love Nodler spot". If Nodler were to kill someone you would just write some horrible statement about how the person deserved to be killed and should be proud that someone like Nodler did it. Most of us read this blog to get information not offered in other venues. Thank you Randy for keeping it real.

I tend to agree with the “Pro-Nodler” poster. Irregardless of the “point” of the post, if Randy can’t be bothered to report basic information correctly why believe anything he says?

On the other hand, if your whole life revolves around venting your hatred for people with differing political point of views then I suppose the truth really is a secondary issue.

One last comment: The post has not been changed, because anyone with any common sense knows that no news conference concerning Gary Nodler is called without Gary Nodler contributing to the decision. If I start correcting accurate posts, I might as well forget about doing this blog. And since my chief detractor seems to know the information, please let him reveal himself and how he comes to know this inside information. It's no wonder Gary Nodler has such a poor public reputation (and please do not confuse the amount of votes he receives with the respect he has from the public; we all end up holding our nose and voting for certain candidates) when he or his followers can't even accept a post which was pretty positive about the senator. Unless, of course, Nodler doesn't want to give us the idea that he actually wanted to have a press conference to brag about his latest appointment.

The way I got the information was from the media advisory that went out to all the news organizations from Senator Gibbons (real reporters are on the list). You have not corrected the post, even though it is wrong because you never correct a post that is wrong. The information is not correct; your refusal to correct it proves you are intent on disinformation. Facts are facts and falsehoods are falsehoods, you have proven here that you have no regard for the truth. I said in the first post that I didn't expect you to make the correction because you are predictable. It doesn't matter if I support or oppose Nodler, the truth is the truth and you are not truthful and of course those that defend printing false information reveal allot about themselves as well.

If it makes you feel better, please go ahead and rant some more.

by the way Nodler's reputation is way, way better than Randy Turner's, but I guess that doesn't really prove that is good .

I don't agree that Randy's reputation is worse than Nodler's. I polled several people in the office and the majority felt that Randy was more trustworthy than Nodler.

What office?

"Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, has called a news conference for Friday" this is the quote from Randy's post. It is wrong. it started out as an error, but when Randy refused to correct it it became a lie, a willful lie. "If I start correcting accurate posts" this comment from Randy doesn't address this issue because we are not talking about an accurate post. Randy's suggestion that any news conference concerning Nodler is called with his approval is also an insane one, during this last legislative session as he handled the higher education bill several news conferences were called concerning him and were called without his permission. The point here is much simpler; YOUR POST IS WRONG and you will not correct it.

If you are an example of the kind of supporter Nodler will have to keep happy in his new role as budget chairman, Missourians have good reason to be worried.

Oh, leave poor old Randy alone. Let him have his dream that he is a big time reporter, rock star, novelist, revolutionary and teen idol, rather then a just kook with a lot of time on his hands and an internet addition.

Randy it is obvious that the truth worries you that is why you refrain from using it.
