Blunt continues adding to lobbying record

Access has its perks, including not having to spend any money wining and dining politicians.

Lobbyists Andrew Blunt filed another no-expenditure report, which was posted today on the Missouri Ethics Commission website. Blunt has not spent a cent on politicians since his older brother became governor in 2005.

I have had critics of this monthly report on Andrew Blunt's lobbying activities who ask why I am writing about this since I am always harping about the amount of money lobbyists spend to influence politicians.

The access to Matt Blunt offered by his younger brother is just another side of the same coin. It is still a matter of influencing public policy in a way that ordinary citizens cannot.
