Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, accepted $373.88 in lobbyists' gifts during May, more than senators Norma Champion, R-Springfield, Jack Goodman, R-Mount Vernon; and Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City combined, according to documents posted today on the Missouri Ethics Commission website.
Most of Nodler's total came from a gift worth $242.19 from Joplin lobbyist Gary Burton, representing the Missouri Council of School Administrators on May 13. Nodler also accepted a $32.25 meal from Burton May 2.
The Ethics Commission documents show he accepted meals from Kyna Iman, Missouri Southern State University lobbyist, Jewell Patek, representing Infocrossing, and Franc Flotron, who says he was representing his lobbying firm, Flotron & McIntosh. Flotron is also a lobbyist for various interests, including Edison Schools, Missouri Charter School Association, Missouri Alliance for Children and Families, and the Missouri Hospital Association.
Nodler has accepted $800.81 in lobbyists' gifts in 2007.
Ethics Commission documents show that Sen. Norma Champion did not accept any gifts in May and is at $253.06 for 2007.
Sen. Jack Goodman accepted only one gift in May, a $40.52 meal from Jewell Patek, representing Kansas City Power and Light. Goodman has received $509.58 in gifts this year.
Sen. Delbert Scott's disclosure form showed only a $20.50 breakfast from lobbyist Leslie Holloway, representing Missouri Farm Bureau. Scott has accepted $352.75 in gifts in 2007.

Does this surprise anyone? I don't know how anyone can continually shout his praises when they can see in Black and White that he is being bought.
