It was just eight months ago that Nexstar Broadcasting stock was heading toward the roof, reaching a high of $14.98 per share.
Times have certainly changed for the company, which owns KSNF in Joplin and KSFX in Springfield and is the de facto owner of KODE in Joplin and KOLR in Springfield. At the end of trading Tuesday, Nexstar stock was down 38 cents to $8.07 per share.
Meanwhile, things are going no better for Saga Communications, owners of KOAM and KFJX in the Joplin/Pittsburg area. Saga stock was down 29 cents per share Tuesday to close at $6.10.

I wonder if the rumor that Jim Jackson as new News Director and 6 & 10pm anchor with Ms Alliniz moving to a day job and acting as daytime news director and Noon and 5pm anchor will help. It does seem that they are spreading their current staff even thinner to save money. Ironically, the rumor says Jim and Tiffany will be News Directors, either day or night, for both stations. Doesn't that make one wonder how the two newscast can be unique since they are really the same. Maybe they will take different positions on most subjects meaning at least one will be right.......probably not, too much work for Gentelman Jim and the dynamic Ms Alaniz.
Hahahahha!!!! Bravo!!! I would be willing to put my money on Jim Jackson!! Tiffany Alaniz will be the one NOT getting it right!!!
