Robinson arraignment set for this morning


A 9 a.m. arraignment is set today in St. Francois County Circuit Court for Rep. Brad Robinson, D-Bonne Terre, who is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Robinson posted $50,000 bond today according to St. Francois County court records.

Brad Robinson, 44, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident. His wife Tara, 37, was charged with misdemeanor making a false declaration.

Robinson allegedly was driving his pickup on Jan. 1 when he struck a man, severely injuring him. Surveillance video purportedly shows Robinson and his wife changing places to make it appear that Mrs. Robinson was driving, and then leaving the scene. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, five passengers in the pickup have been granted immunity in exchange for their testimony against the Robinsons.
