Billy Long: House budget resolution is a pathway to growth

Seventh District Congressman Billy Long issued the following statement after voting for the House Budget Resolution.

“American families have been making the tough choices to balance their budgets.  Washington should do the same.  The House budget resolution stops wasting taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars and starts our country down the path to a balanced budget and getting control of our nation’s debt. 

“Entry level jobs are the first to go when the economy is doing poorly.  We risk wasting years of job experience and development for our nation’s young people, who are the future of America, if we don’t get the economy growing again.  The best way to grow the economy is to decrease the amount of the economy being eaten up by the federal government.  The House budget resolution is a pathway to growth for our nation.”
