Ed Emery audio: DOR is lying; my job is to protect citizens from government

(In this audio Sen. Ed Emery, R-Lamar, despite his participation in government and his various efforts to become a part of it, continues his attacks on the horrible federal and state governments, both of which are out to destroy all personal freedoms.

Emery doesn't use the exact words, but he pretty much calls DOR officials liars in the audio. "The Department of Revenue was not truthful," Emery said. "They turned out to be deceptive."

"What we're facing right now is the illustration of why our founding fathers never encouraged us to trust our government."

You cannot assume the government is your friend, Emery says. "The threat to any Constitution is the government it constraints."

Emery says his job is to protect citizens against the government.
