Free screening of Joplin Tornado film, book signing set for May 23 in Mt. Vernon

Carthage Press Managing Editor John Hacker and I will be at the MARC (Mt. Vernon Arts and Recreation Center) Friday, May 23, for a screening of the movie "Steadfast" and a signing for our books, 5:41: Stories from the Joplin Tornado, Spirit of Hope, and Scars from the Tornado.

According to the news release from the event, "This screening will be to honor the steadfast resolve of the city of Joplin on the third anniversary weekend of the Joplin tornado. Gregory Fish will be there to present his movie and conduct a 'Meet the Filmmaker.'

Admission is free.
