High school sources have told the Turner Report that one of the two resource officers has been cut, along with secretarial and janitorial jobs, as Superintendent C. J. Huff continues his plan to deal with the district's current financial crisis situation by cutting from the bottom up.
The financial problems, however, are not preventing the district from advertising for a "continuous learning coach."
The following job requirements for a continuous learning coach were posted on the district website today:
Collaborate with building and district level administration to promote achievement of building and district goals
Link schools with district curriculum initiatives and resources
Communicate and model proven instructional practices that will result in increased student achievement
Create and collaborate with teacher teams and schools on district assessments and resources for continuity
Provide professional development on district initiatives
Co-plan, co-teach, observe, and provide embedded classroom support
Analyze data and facilitate data conversations
Keep abreast of innovative strategies and research that will enhance student learning
