"My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Michael Brown and with the entire community of Ferguson during this trying time. This tragic loss has caused a great deal of pain. Everyone deserves a clear picture of what led to this situation, and I am hopeful that the local and federal investigations will produce a transparent, complete picture of all the facts that led to this tragedy. I stand ready, willing and able to lend whatever assistance I can to the community and to my many family members, friends and colleagues in and around the Ferguson community."
