City of Joplin confirms 45 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, number of city residents hospitalized increasing

 

The city of Joplin confirmed 24 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, according to statistics posted today on the city's COVID-19 dashboard.

Joplin's coronavirus count stands at 859, with the number of active cases increasing from 134 to 144.






 

The number of city residents who are hospitalized was at an all-time high 11, up from eight the previous day.

The number of people in the COVID-19 units at Mercy and Freeman hospitals remained at 48.

The city had 21 deaths due to COVID-19, all of them residents of Spring River Christian Village.
