Joplin reports 71st COVID-19 death, 53 new cases

The Joplin Health Department reported the city's 71st COVID-19 death today.

The victim was a 77-year-old man.

The department confirmed 53 new cases in the preceding 24 hours, putting the total at 3,941, including 316 active cases.

The city's hospitals have 98 coronavirus patients, including 17 Joplin residents.
