Drunk driver who killed 22-year-old Neosho woman pleads guilty


A 1:30 p.m. December 13 sentencing date is set for a Neosho woman who pleaded guilty Wednesday in Newton County Circuit Court to felony driving while intoxicated resulting in the death of another person.

The trial for Stormie R. Judy, 28, had been scheduled to begin Tuesday, but both sides requested the trial be canceled and the plea date was scheduled.

Judy was driving drunk the morning of April 2, 2022 when she rearended another vehicle, killing a backseat passenger, 22-year-old Kearah "Shea" Lovett. Judy admitted she had been drinking and using marijuana, according to the probable cause affidavit.

We didn't request the trial be canceled, she decided to put in a plea of guilty because her lawyer didn't wanna lose in trial which he would have. Glades doesn't lose cases and he would've lost this one seeing as she admitted to the cops the night of that she was intoxicated. Other things would've came out in trial if she would've taken it that far like how she chased the car from her father's house and intentionally rammed the vehicle from behind, she would've got murder charges if all of that came out. She's a pos and I hope she rots in prison
