Longtime Granby Municipal Judge Steven M. White was killed in a mowing accident this morning on Gum Road two miles north of Granby.
According to the Highway Patrol report, the 2015 Grasshopper mower White was driving overturned off a concrete culvert while he was mowing the right of way. The exact time of the crash is unknown.
Newton County Assistant Coroner Jerry Deems pronounced White dead at the scene at 12:23 p.m.
The fatality was the 54th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
