Dirk Deaton attends White House Leadership Conference, meets with Trump advisors, cabinet members

(From Rep. Dirk Deaton, R-Noel)

A recent invitation extended from President Donald Trump allowed Representative Dirk Deaton (R) to go to the nation's capital to hear from key leaders of the Trump administration.

"I was pleased to attend the White House State Leadership Conference, where the president's team shared a number of their priorities for our state and for the nation. I was encouraged by the direction the administration is taking to shape a great number of policies that affect our everyday lives, while subsequently going to great lengths to keep state leaders informed," said Rep. Deaton.

"Unlike recent years in my time as a lawmaker, I left feeling like a genuine partner in the effort to defend law and order, eliminate government inefficiency, and in returning education to the states."

For an afternoon, Missouri's state elected officials heard from nearly a dozen advisors in the Trump administration, including five cabinet officials:

• Secretary of Commerce - Howard Lutnick

• Secretary of Energy - Chris Wright

• Secretary of Education - Linda McMahon

• Secretary of Housing and Urban Development - Scott Turner

• Administrator of the Small Business Administration - Kelly Loeffler

Rep. Deaton added, "I appreciate the opportunity to represent McDonald and Newton Counties in front of the president's team. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to step into the West Wing and speak with key White House staff about the issues we face and how we can partner with the administration to address these challenges head-on.

"President Trump's continual recognition of the role states play is but one factor that gives me confidence that Missouri and America are headed in a positive direction."

Taxpayer funds were not used to make possible Rep. Deaton's attendance at the White House State Leadership Conference.

Call it was it is: a stalinist-like cult meeting to discuss how to suppress the American people.

He is an undereducated fraud and a representation of all that is wrong with Missouri (and America). What a waste of taxpayer dollars. History will ultimately judge him and his cult accordingly.
